Taking pride in providing the very best health care.

The Covenant Regional Thumb Network (CRTN), a network of six independent hospitals, is pleased to announce its formation, and Deckerville Community Hospital is a founding member. The network is composed of Covenant HealthCare, located in Saginaw, and five critical access hospitals located throughout Michigan’s Thumb area including Deckerville Community Hospital, Harbor Beach Community Hospital, Hills & Dales General Hospital, Marlette Regional Hospital, and Scheurer Hospital. While CRTN formed in late 2018, we have been working collaboratively for more than a decade to ensure quality healthcare is available to patients in the Thumb.

“We are excited to be a part of this unique affiliation of quality healthcare providers. This collaboration demonstrates the willingness of independent organizations to work together to bring high quality and cost effective care to all patients in the communities we serve. CRTN was built based on the group’s collective vision and will continue to move forward as a united effort among its members,” stated Angela McConnachie, CEO/CNO, Deckerville Community Hospital.

Having an independent relationship with Covenant allows for a streamlined flow of resources and services that might not be available outside of a major metropolitan area. The partnership enables patients to choose a hospital close to home that best fits their needs while utilizing the capabilities and strengths of CRTN. Instead of losing local hospitals like ours to an acquisition by a large hospital conglomerate, our communities have strengthened local hospitals.
