Kavita Tumma, MD, is board certified in both Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. She received her medical degree from Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, India. She then completed her residency training in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology at Wayne State University in Detroit.

Dr. Tumma has been evaluating and treating conditions of the GI tract such as hepatitis, Crohn’s disease and ulcers at Deckerville Community Hospital for the past 15 years.

She performs Upper and Lower intestinal scopes and Colonoscopies the second and fourth Thursday every month. She also has office appointments on those days as well.

Through the years Dr. Tumma has supported our hospital and community and continues to do so.
